Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Farragut, TN is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help seniors and people with disabilities live independently. This entry‑level role offers flexible hours and the chance to learn the fundamentals of quality home care while making a meaningful difference in clients' daily lives.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and help with meal preparation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of in-home care experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.

DSP Responsibilities
