Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals in their homes throughout the West Chester, PA area. Competitive pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, with options for full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules.

The DSP will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, supportive home environment while coordinating with family and care teams.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a DSP, Caregiver, PCA, HHA, CNA, Residential Counselor, or Behavioral Health Technician preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to work independently and professionally in a home setting.
• Successful completion of required background checks, onboarding, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, hygiene, and meal preparation.
• Support clients in achieving personal goals and increasing independence.
• Assist with community outings, appointments, and recreational activities.

• Monitor and document client progress and observations.
