Job summary

Global Dynamics LLC seeks a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities participate in community-based supports. You will ensure safety, assist with daily living skills, and support budgeting and planning under Maryland regulations.

Responsibilities include medication administration, emergency readiness, transportation, and documenting progress. A valid Maryland driver’s license and ability to handle emergencies are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1-year related experience preferred.
• CPR & First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens training required.
• DDA DSP Certifications for Maryland preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individuals to ensure safety regarding medical, health, behavioral, and environmental issues.
• Assist with daily living skills (e.g., lifting, transferring, toileting, personal hygiene, laundry, cooking).
• Assist in budget development, monetary transactions, and teaching use of money with individuals personal funds.
• Implement Person Centered Plans, Outcomes, Goals, and Strategies.
• Complete paperwork and routine drills (e.g., Fire Drills).
• Assist with banking, budgeting, and shopping when applicable.
• Plan, assist, and participate in community-inclusive outings.
• Maintain living environment per COMAR and health standards.
• Administer and record medications as required.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments and emergencies as needed.

Position Title: Director Support Professional

Position Summary:

To ensure individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have opportunities to actively participate in all aspects of community based and integration supports for the developmental disabilities waiver.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor individuals to ensure safety regarding medical, health, behavioral, and environmental issues.
• Assist with daily living skills (e.g., lifting, transferring, toileting, personal hygiene, laundry, cooking etc.).
• Assist in budget development, monetary transactions, and teaching of use of money with individuals personal use funds as they are needed.
• Implement Person Centered Plans, Outcomes, Goals, and Strategies.
• Complete paperwork as assigned, include routine drills such as Fire Drills
• Assist with banking and budgeting and assist with shopping, when applicable.
• Plan, assist, and participate in community inclusive outings with individuals (e.g., visiting family, friends, church/temple, shopping etc.).
• Assist the individuals with recreational, cultural and vacation plans of their choice.
• Maintain living environment in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and health department standards.
• Administer and record medications pursuant to State and Agency requirements, when applicable.
• Accompany individuals on medical appointments and emergencies as needed.
• Maintain responsibility for all assigned sites.
• Communicate with and update the Coordinators/ Program Managers and or Residential Manager on a regular basis.
• Attend all meetings and in-services as requested by supervisor.
• Work with individuals as assigned by supervisor.
• Complete all agency required trainings for position.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma
• 1-year related experience preferred.
• Must be able to work independently.
• CPR & First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens
• DDA DSP Certifications for Maryland

Working Conditions:

• Must assist with daily living skills (e.g., lifting, transferring, toileting, personal hygiene, laundry, and cooking).
• May be required to lift /assist in transferring individuals.
• Must be available in emergency situations as the need arises.
• State issued driver’s license required and approved clean driving record necessary
