Job summary

Purpose-SC is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Summerville, SC to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help with daily living activities, behavioral support plans, medication assistance, and community engagement under supervision.

The role is full-time with a 4-days-on/4-days-off rotation, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am shifts. Candidates should have a HS diploma, be 21+, read/write English, and lift up to 50-100 lbs with

• Act quickly and responsibly in case of emergency.

Purpose-SC is hiring Full Time Direct Support Professionals, to provide assistance to our program located in Summerville, SC.

Purpose- SC

provides meaningful and rewarding employment opportunities supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide residential, educational, and recreational programs to support and improve the lives of those we serve in a caring and compassionate team environment.

The DSP will provide a caring, respectful, and empowering environment for our clients. Direct Support Professionals work with clients on individual goals to achieve the highest level of independence. This will ensure that evidence-based practices are utilized to ensure a comprehensive therapeutic program is provided for the individuals served.

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age,
• Ability to read and write in English
• Valid South Carolina license, if applicable
• Regularly required to lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or supporting people with special needs is preferred move 50-100 lbs. (assisted)

Experience:

One year (1), experience caring for individuals with intellectual disabilities/related disabilities. We need people who care about others and enjoy inspiring and motivating those individuals we serve.
