Job summary

Life, Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist and monitor clients in daily living activities.

This full-time role covers 1st and 2nd shifts, 1on1 support, and requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid NC driver's license, and being 21 or older. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, independence, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NC Driver's License required.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with self-care activities (dressing, bathing, toileting).
• Assist during meals to ensure family-style dining.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks (clothing care, cleaning, yard work).
• Assist with meals and nutritional supplements.
• Administer prescribed medications without error.
• Follow prescribed diet orders and adaptive equipment.
• Implement behavior programs, data collection, and safety procedures.
• Support active treatment, track progress, and meet service goals.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and communicate client information as directed.
• Transport clients using company vehicles.
• Support clients during community outings and school/day program activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by managers.
