Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey.

Responsibilities include supporting community activities, teaching daily living skills, assisting with personal care and medication reminders, providing safe transportation, and documenting services. Flexible shifts and paid training are offered; Serenity is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with I/DD preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
