Job summary

Abound Health in Carolina Shores, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you help with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, enabling clients to live more independently.

Starting pay is $16.00–$17.00 per hour, plus a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background and health checks.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
