Job summary

Cornerstone Support Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living activities and skill-building in both routine and dynamic environments. DSPs ensure health and safety, implementing individualized support plans and documenting the provision of supports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Compassionate about the care and well-being of others.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and guidance for residents during skill building activities.
• Implement individual support plans for residents.
• Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene.
• Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship.
• Update resident case notes on a daily basis.
• Ensure an appropriate staff-to-client ratio at all times.
