Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support in Ebensburg, PA, and surrounding areas. Starting pay ranges from $17 to $25 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments for 20+ hours per week.

Flexible full-time or part-time schedules, weekly pay, and paid onboarding & training are offered. The role involves assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support for individuals with IDD in a licensed

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Ability to assist with medication administration after training
• Ability to provide supervision and support in community settings
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Provide verbal prompting and support with personal care and daily routines
• Assist with medication administration as trained and authorized
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Provide community safety supervision and transportation support as needed
• Assist with financial management, budgeting, and money-handling skills
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Provide behavioral support and emotional encouragement
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
