The Direct Support Mentor - Behavioral Health provides direct care and support to individuals receiving behavioral health services in residential settings while serving as a mentor, coach, and role model for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This role bridges frontline direct care and supervisory support by reinforcing best practices, modeling professional behavior, supporting onboarding and training of new staff, and promoting consistency in care delivery across all shifts. The Direct Support Mentor assists individuals served in achieving personal recovery goals, developing daily living skills, and maintaining safety and stability in accordance with each individual’s treatment plan.
