Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a full-time, Monday to Friday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shift in Willow Grove, PA. The DSP helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges engage in the community and reach personal goals.

The role emphasizes compassionate support, respect for individual history, and adherence to person-centered plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Complete pre-employment screening.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals’ human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote health and safety by supporting wellness initiatives and accident prevention.
• Encourage self-advocacy and empower individuals in making their own choices.
• Facilitate community engagement by accompanying individuals to work, recreation, and social events.
• Teach independent living skills, including household management and personal care.
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and community activities.
• Foster social connections by supporting relationships in the community.
• Assist with medication administration in accordance with state laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of provided services and support.
