Job summary

Sevita is seeking compassionate caregivers to support individuals in daily living activities in the Sarasota, FL area. You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, budgeting, and community outings while following individualized care plans.

Training is provided, and you will join a supportive team in a stable environment. This on-site role offers a $2,000 retention bonus during the first year and opportunities for career advancement within NeuroRestorative, part of Sevita, a leading home

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to complete our paid 2-week training program (Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm).
  • Comfortable with occasional lifting and physical activity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support to individuals in daily living activities.
  • Build social skills and participate in community outings.
  • Assist with personal care, shopping, budgeting, meal preparation, and more.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and follow care plans.
  • Develop positive relationships with individuals, families, and case managers.
  • Advocate for health, safety, and wellbeing of individuals served.
  • Accompany to medical appointments and monitor health needs.

Health & Safety (We'll Train You!)
Healthcare Support

Accompany individuals to medical appointments, assist with medication administration (after training), monitor health needs, and follow emergency procedures. No experience? No problem—we provide the training you need!

Meal Preparation

Help prepare meals, follow dietary guidelines, and encourage healthy eating habits.

Create a Safe & Comfortable Home

Assist with light housekeeping, safety checks, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Community Outings

Safely transport individuals to appointments, errands, recreational activities, and community events while following all driving guidelines.
