Job summary

Community Living of Idaho LLC in Meridian seeks a caregiver to support individuals with disabilities. You will implement intervention plans, provide group/individual therapy, take/record data, transport participants, and prepare materials.

Shifts are 12 hours with four full-time rotations (7a-7p or 7p-7a). Requirements: safe driving record and Idaho license; ability to lift and assist daily living; CPR/First Aid; medication assistance cert.

Qualifications

• One year’s experience with persons with Traumatic Brain Injuries is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Medication assistance certification (agency will provide) is required or preferred.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be free from communicable diseases.

Work Hours:

Typically, Monday through Sunday. Hours vary depending on participant needs. May involve evening, NOC, and weekend hours. May include services delivered in the community as well as in the participant’s home.

Specific Duties:

• Goes through Orientation and Training Program.
• Implements program intervention strategies plans as written.
• Takes, records, and monitors data.
• Provide group and individual therapy.
• Meets regularly to receive training on the program and procedures to be followed, and to review therapy provided.
• Provides transportation services as needed
• Prepares equipment and materials needed for implementation of developmental intervention strategies.
• Completes written documentation as directed.
• Ensures safety of consumers.
• Adhere to all company standards, policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned
• 12 hour shifts available (7a - 7p and 7p - 7a)
• 4 full-time shifts available

Requirements

Special Conditions:

Position requires that employee possess a safe driving record and an Idaho Driver’s License. Must be able to lift participants as needed, physically assist in activities of daily living, pull and push a wheelchair, get in and out of the homes of participants. Must be able to make observations of non-verbal behavior and check tasks and activities for completeness. Perform all activities of daily living that are taught.

Qualifications:

• Preferred- One year’s experience working with persons with Traumatic Brain Injuries, in a program that provides support services to individuals with disabilities.
• Female Staff only
• Be 18 years of age
• Must possess a High School diploma or GED or demonstrate competency with paperwork responsibilities.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified
• Assistance With Medication Certification (Agency will provide)
• Be free from communicable diseases
• Assistance with Medications Certification in order to assist with medication
• Have met all training requirements as outlined in 16.04.17.204 of rules
• Prior nursing home/assistive living experience preferred
• Behavior management skills preferred
