Job summary

Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) division is seeking a Sales Representative/Territory Manager to drive growth in an assigned territory. You will call on physicians and hospitals, present Abbott’s EP disposables, capital equipment, and services, and analyze sales data to guide strategies.

The role requires experience leading a team of clinicals, strong communication skills, and knowledge of cardiovascular medical devices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in sales, preferably in cardiovascular devices.
  • Vaccination verification and potential accommodations may be required by vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Abbott EP devices to physicians and hospitals in the assigned territory.
  • Lead and collaborate with a team of clinicals; conduct territory analysis and reports.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to promote products and gather feedback.
  • Provide product training and post-sale support to customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, and staff.

The Opportunity

In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

What You’ll Work On

We are seeking an experienced high caliber Sales Representative/Territory Manager, EP. The Sales Rep calls on physicians and hospitals to sell a variety of Abbott's medical devices in an assigned territory. May conduct marketing surveys, effectiveness reviews of calls/sales activities, and territory analysis. Services accounts and suggests and presents new products. Employees act on their strong desire to make a difference, partner with others and put ideas into action. Employees are engaged by a work culture that is team-oriented, fast paced and progressive. Provides medical professionals with information and training on the use of Company products and with staff education, in-services and technical troubleshooting. Analyses sales statistics; prepares reports; and performs required administrative sales duties, e.g., filing expense account reports, scheduling appointments, and making travel plans. May attend trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased and conferences to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments.

  • Experience leading a team of clinicals
  • A demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices; ability to work with and direct others effectively; ability to prepare and present strong written and verbal communications; and familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations and procedures
  • Documented record of delivering sales/marketing information which adds value to management's decision making process
  • Responsible for selling EP disposables, capital equipment, and service/warranty
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, physicians, hospital administrators, government agencies, medical groups, and other sales representatives
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, negotiation, sales, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of frequently used personal computer programs and relevant applications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent and typically five plus years of progressively more responsible sales experience, including experience with cardiovascular medical devices.

The base pay for this position is $43,900.00 – $109,200.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
