Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with Vanguard, seeks a Direct Indexing Trader to manage direct indexing trading activities and ensure strong client outcomes within regulatory and internal standards.

You will partner with investment advisors on portfolio construction, monitor trading activity, and support sophisticated strategies for complex accounts while maintaining alignment with objectives.

Qualifications

• Five years' related work experience in Financial Services (or client services) preferred.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Progress towards or completion of CFA or CFP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares assigned direct indexing portfolios that meet or exceed performance standards consistent with client objectives and regulatory constraints.
• Collaborates with investment advisors to deliver portfolio construction plans and set up personalized indexing capabilities.
• Analyzes portfolio management data and resolves process issues, investigating exceptions in trading instructions.
• Reviews and monitors portfolios' trading activity to ensure tracking of the assigned index.
• Supports the delivery of sophisticated portfolio construction and management strategies for complex financial planning accounts.
• Builds relationships with external clients and internal departments to meet client and business needs.
• Participates in initiatives to improve departmental policies, procedures, and workflow changes.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepares assigned direct indexing portfolios that meet or exceed performance standards consistent with investment objectives, while adhering to client-specified or regulatory restrictions and constraints.


• Collaborates and partners with investment advisors to deliver portfolio construction plans. Offers strategies for financial planning accounts and set up required personalized indexing capabilities for clients.


• Analyzes portfolio management data and oversees resolution of process issues. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to investigate exceptions within trading instructions.


• Reviews and monitors portfolios' trading activity to ensure portfolios track assigned index appropriately and correctly.


• Supports the delivery of sophisticated portfolio construction and management strategy for complex financial planning accounts.


• Builds relationships with external clients and internal departments. Acts as a liaison to facilitate a successful strategic approach to meet client and business needs.


• Participates in and may lead initiatives to improve departmental policies and procedures. Review workflow changes to ensure they better meet evolving business needs and maintain adherence to external regulations.


• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$70,000.00 - $125,000.00
