Job summary

Defense Mechanics Inc. is looking for a Safety-Focused CDL A Driver to join their dynamic team in Denton, Texas. In this physically active role, you'll be responsible for local deliveries, engaging with customers, and maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate must possess a valid Class A CDL, have at least 2 years of driving experience, and be able to lift/move up to 75 lbs. The position offers competitive pay, local routes with no overnight travel, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.

Join a dynamic team as a safety-focused CDL A Driver responsible for the local delivery. This physically active role includes loading/unloading at client sites and engaging with customers to provide excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to customers with 10-12 stops per day
• Load/unload freight and complete delivery paperwork
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate records and comply with DOT regulations
• Build customer relationships and represent the company professionally
• Identify vehicle maintenance needs and report timely
• Uphold safety standards and contribute to a positive work environment

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 2 years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
• No preventable accidents or moving violations in the past 2 years
• Must pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication, organizational, and safety awareness skills
