Description
Direct Care Worker – Washington County | Multiple Positions Open
Good home care work should feel like more than a checklist. You walk into someone's home, and for a few hours you're the reason their day goes smoothly - the meal that's ready, the clean room, the walk they looked forward to, the conversation that breaks up a quiet afternoon.
That's the job. And we're hiring several people to do it.
Work where and when it works for you
We have openings across a range of locations - so instead of forcing you into one assignment, we do it the other way around. Apply, tell us the areas that work for your life, and we'll match you to the best fit we have. Hours flex around your availability too, so you can build a schedule that fits the rest of your life. Your job shouldn't be the thing you plan everything else around.
What you’ll actually do
You’ll support consumers with the everyday tasks that let them stay safely and comfortably in their own homes, following a care plan built by the staff coordinator. Day to day, that looks like:
You’ll report any change in a consumer's condition to your staff coordinator, and you're never working without backup - you're supervised and scheduled by the agency team, so you always know who to call.
A couple of things this job is not. You won't be cutting anyone's fingernails or toenails, and you won't be doing heavy labor - no oven cleaner, no moving furniture or appliances, no heavy snow shoveling, no ladders. The work is personal and steady, not backbreaking.
Pay, hours, and territory
Reimbursement is based on your experience, and hours flex around your personal availability and patient needs.
Clients are located all throughout the Washington County & neighboring counties, but we actively try to match DCWs with clients who are closest in proximity.
What you’ll need
Growing on the job
We invest in our workers. You'll complete 20 hours of in-service education each year, plus our six-topic annual training, so you're always supported and never guessing.
Why people stay at Anova
Home care companies come and go. A lot of them are backed by investors who've never met a caregiver, and it shows in how workers get treated. We're built differently.
We're small enough to know our workers by name and established enough to keep you busy.
Anova is an equal opportunity employer.
