Job summary

Adelante is hiring a Community Support Staff for our Day Program in Albuquerque, NM. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm, with a starting pay of $15.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

You’ll help adults with special needs in daily living activities and community participation. Responsibilities include assisting with eating and personal care, documenting progress, and supporting a team through ISP processes and meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Must be able to speak English clearly with customers.
• Read and write English to understand procedures.
• Must pass background/fingerprint checks, pre-employment drug screening and TB test.
• Must have reliable transportation and NM driver's license with insurable record.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with daily living skills.
• Provide assistance with eating and personal care.
• Document individuals' progress and make recommendations for program changes.
• Assist training of other personnel as required.

At our Day Program we offer a variety of activity choices like computers, fine arts, crafts, gardening or fitness to our clients. More importantly, Adelante supports individuals to be out and about in the community learning about and enjoying many outdoor activities, accessing museums and cultural sites, and volunteering.

General Description of Duties:

As a Community Support staff you will get to;

Schedule & Pay:

Job Type: Full-Time, Monday thru Friday 7am - 4pm

Pay From: $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required with post high school, college preferred.
• Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with internal and external customers of Adelante.
• Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.

Must pass background/fingerprint investigation, pre-employment drug screening and TB test. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM driver’s license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must have effective verbal communication and writing skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with assistance or independently, repeatedly throughout the day. Must be able to support up to 70-100 lbs. occasionally. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
