Job summary

iHomecare Solutions seeks a compassionate Direct Care Worker to assist individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, medication reminders, and emotional support.

You will provide personal care, mobility help, meal preparation, accompany to appointments, monitor health, and maintain a safe, respectful environment while delivering companionship.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Direct Care Worker or similar healthcare role.
• Capable of lifting and transferring clients as needed.
• Basic housekeeping and meal preparation knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and supervised exercises.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Administer medications under nurse supervision when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for clients.
• Accompany clients to appointments and social activities.
• Monitor health changes and report concerns.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.

The Direct Care Worker will help our clients with their daily activities, ensure they take their medication on time, and provide emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Provide clients with mobility assistance, transfers and help with exercises as needed
• Prepare meals and help with feeding if necessary
• Administer medication under the supervision of a nurse or other healthcare provider
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
• Monitor changes in client’s health and report any concerns
• Provide companionship and emotional support

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Direct Care Worker or similar role in healthcare
• Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved Direct Care Worker training program is preferred
