Job summary

Cultivating Homes LLC in Indian Land, SC seeks Direct Care Staff to provide daily care, supervision, and mentorship for youth in a residential group home. This role emphasizes safety, compassion, and building trust with residents within a supportive team.

Responsibilities include supervising residents, implementing routines and behavior plans, assisting with daily living activities, documenting progress, and participating in ongoing training and meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age (South Carolina licensing requirement)
• High school diploma, certificate, or equivalent required
• Minimum one year of child care experience, paid or unpaid (South Carolina licensing requirement)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a SLED and FBI fingerprint-based background check, Central Registry (OHAN) check, South Carolina and National Sex Offender Registry checks, and a drug screening
• Ability to complete a physical examination and health clearance
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field preferred
• Previous experience with youth in residential or behavioral health settings preferred

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold residents' rights in accordance with HIPAA and agency policy
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, case managers, clinicians, and teammates
• Attend team meetings, supervision sessions, and required ongoing training

We are hiring Direct Care Staff (Direct Support Professionals) to provide daily care, supervision, and mentorship to the youth living in our home. This is meaningful, hands‑on work for people who want to make a lasting difference in a young person's life. No two days look the same, and the relationships you build matter.

We provide paid training, ongoing professional development, and a supportive team environment. Prior residential experience is helpful, but the right attitude — patience, consistency, and genuine care for kids — matters most.

What You’ll Do

Schedule

Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Available shifts include:

• 1st shift (day)
• 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
• 3rd shift / overnight (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend shifts
