Family & Childrens Center in Winona, MN seeks a Direct Care Staff for our Day Treatment program. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, you will supervise clients, implement behavioral interventions, and co-facilitate groups within a collaborative treatment team.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, maintaining rapport with youth, and documenting daily activities while supporting transportation needs and community interactions in a structured Day Treatment setting.

Formación

• Education, Training & Work Experience: Required high school diploma or the equivalent; or 2 years of experience as a primary caregiver to a child with mental illness within the previous ten years.
• Preferred: holds a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.

Responsabilidades

• Provide intense supervision to clients and co-facilitate groups.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and coordinate with the treatment team.
• Provide transportation for Day Treatment clients as necessary.
• Complete daily documentation in a timely manner per program policies.
• Use positive communication with clients and community members as part of the Day Treatment team.

Join our Day Treatment team as a Direct Care Staff in Winona, MN!BASIC PURPOSE: Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Direct Care Staff is responsible to ensure quality program delivery and safety of clients during the Day Treatment program in collaboration with team members and external partners.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Work collaboratively with Day Treatment staff on duties that are necessary for program implementation including, but not limited to, providing intense supervision to clients, utilizing appropriate behavioral interventions and co-facilitating groups.Participate as a member of the Day Treatment team including, but not limited to, attending weekly staff meetings, communicating daily with other staff and working effectively and non-defensively with the treatment team.Provide transportation for Day Treatment clients as necessary and in accordance with program policies.Complete daily documentation as necessary in a timely manner according to program policies and standards.Use appropriate behaviors and positive communication skills when interacting with members in the community as part of the Day Treatment team.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ENVIRONMENT:Education, Training & Work Experience: Required high school diploma or the equivalent; or (2) years of experience as a primary caregiver to a child with mental illness within the previous ten years. Preferred: holds a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.Scope of practice: While under the treatment supervision of a mental health professional, a mental health behavioral aide may practice psychosocial skills with a child client according to the child's treatment plan and individual behavior plan that a mental health professional, clinical trainee, or mental health practitioner has previously taught to the childSpecialized Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge in mental health interventions and skills training. Candidate must possess knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and be able work with youth using this skill set. Candidate must have the ability to build appropriate rapport with clientele and form age appropriate limits and boundaries.Work Environment & Physical Demands: Normal classroom environment with related indoor and outdoor conditions.
