Job summary

Ohio’s Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) seeks Therapeutic Program Workers to support residents with daily living skills and independence in the Southwest Ohio Developmental Center. The role involves direct care, routine documentation, and participation in planned activities to promote well-being.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. The position offers part-time shifts with variable hours, onsite at the Southwest Developmental Center in Clermont County.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Diver license with 5 or fewer points required where applicable.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with eating, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, and grooming.
• Support daily living skills to help residents become more independent.
• Plan and participate in activities (gym, pavilion, pool)
• Assist with planning and shopping activities (shopping, vocational skills, hair appointments)
• Complete daily and monthly documentation, including incident reporting and reactions to medication
• Perform light housekeeping in living areas
• Redirect unsafe actions to promote positive outcomes
