Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Less than 1 year experience in direct patient care or completion of LVHN's inexperienced technical partner course.
• Ability to follow direction and provide accurate reports.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Ability to organize and prioritize patient care assignments.
• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and related activities as directed by RN.
• Communicates findings and changes to the RN.
• Uses effective verbal and non-verbal communication with patients and staff.
• Supports unit and hospital goals as a care delivery team member.
• Participates in orientation of new staff.
• Performs validated technical skills based on clinical specialty.
• Utilizes technology to optimize care delivery.
• Completes quality control checks on designated unit equipment.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds to call lights promptly.
