Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a skilled production technician to join the Bridgestone West team. You will set up, calibrate, and operate machines used in production processes, working from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models.

You will inspect machined parts against tolerances, diagnose and correct complex malfunctions, and perform routine maintenance. CNC/CMM programming duties may be involved, with opportunities to contribute to quality and efficiency.

Position Summary

Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes. Works from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspects machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determines and corrects more complex machine malfunctions. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning. May make calculations as well as assist with numeric controlled programming.

Responsibilities

Manages or performs skilled trades and lower level apprentice craft work for set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes including:

• Precision tool & part making and repair typically performed in a machine shop environment
• Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine tool programming
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) machine tool programming
• Other duties as assigned
