Job summary

Rainylakemedical in International Falls, MN is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to oversee day-to-day operations of the surgery department, including pre-op, PACU, OR, central processing, and outreach clinics.

The role requires current MN RN license, BLS and ACLS, and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field with at least three years in a surgery department; CNOR and a master's degree are preferred and prior management experience is valued.

Job Summary: The Director of Surgical Services provides oversight for day-to-day operations of the surgery department. They are responsible for the overall direction and management of the surgical services area, including pre-op, PACU, Operating room, central processing department, as well as the orthopedic and general surgery outreach clinics. The Director of Surgical Services ensures that the department and its resources are managed in accordance with RLMC’s Mission, Vision, and Values and in compliance with regulatory organizations, external accrediting agencies and licensing bodies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current MN RN license
• BLS and ACLS
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
• At least 3 years working in a surgery department

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNOR Certification
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of previous management experience
