The firm offers competitive PTO, a 401(k) match, and comprehensive benefits.
With nearly 500 professionals across 23 offices, this firm has grown from a modest surveying company in 1978 to one of the region’s most trusted engineering & consulting service providers. Their multidisciplinary team delivers a wide range of services — civil/site design, GIS, natural-gas infrastructure, building code support, community-development and training — all anchored by an unwavering commitment to the values of integrity, teamwork and long-term relationships.
Our client partners closely with municipalities, utilities, private developers and industrial clients to bring meaningful solutions to complex problems: from concept to construction, from water and sewer systems to grading, drainage, and public-works infrastructure. Their culture emphasizes the importance of taking care of their staff so they can, in turn, deliver exceptional results — making this a place where career growth, technical challenge and team collaboration truly coexist.
Join a dynamic engineering team in the Las Vegas metro area (Henderson, NV) where you’ll take the lead of a civil engineering service center, drive business development, build teams and deliver meaningful infrastructure solutions.
Plan, organize and oversee all activities of the service center: operations, business development, staffing, project delivery and client relationship management.
Lead the civil engineering department: mentor engineers, designers, interns and other staff; provide coaching and development; foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.
Identify, develop and manage client relationships—both maintaining existing accounts and securing new work to expand the service center’s footprint.
Oversee project production and quality: ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule and budget; review proposals, track key performance indicators (KPIs), coordinate cross-department resources and monitor operational effectiveness.
Serve as the entrepreneurial face of the service center: collaborate with the vice president or senior leadership as a trusted advisor; analyze business performance, trouble‑shoot challenges and implement strategic improvements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety plans and project safety protocols while maintaining high standards of client service, team morale and operational excellence.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) along with a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Nevada.
10+ years of experience in civil engineering projects—demonstrated expertise across water, sewer, grading/drainage, transportation and land-development.
Proven business development prowess: ability to win new projects, nurture client relationships and grow revenue.
Strong leadership, mentoring and team‑building skills—comfortable managing staff at multiple levels (intern to PE) and driving performance.
Effective communication skills—both verbal and written—capable of collaborating with clients, internal departments and project teams.
High level of organization, attention to project detail (scope, schedule, budget) and ability to manage multiple priorities.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset—eager to lead a service center as a business within a business and help shape its growth.
Four weeks of PTO (with one week already banked for immediate use on day one).
401(k) plan with company match and full vesting from day one.
Nine paid holidays—choose which ones matter to you.
Comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision, plus a company HSA match.
Company-sponsored term life, short-term disability, long-term disability, cancer and accident insurance.
Tuition reimbursement and mentorship opportunities aligned with your growth and professional development.
Incentive bonus program structured to reward high performance and support your entrepreneurial role.
We believe that diverse experiences and perspectives strengthen our team. If you bring drive, leadership and a civil engineering foundation—especially in water/sewer/transport infrastructure—you may be exactly the candidate we’re looking for, even if you don’t check every box.
