Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, Colorado seeks a Master’s level spiritual care leader to align practices with our mission and provide emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff. The role emphasizes compassionate care, training, and collaboration with community partners.

The candidate should be an ordained minister, a Seventh-day Adventist member, and bring 3+ years in ministry (healthcare preferred) with Clinical Pastoral Education preferred to advance holistic wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required (Field of Study: Masters of Divinity or Masters in Spiritual Care or equivalent).
  • Ordained minister required; membership in Seventh day Adventist Church required.
  • 3+ years experience in ministry, preferably healthcare; Clinical Pastoral Education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports community outreach initiatives.
  • Fosters a culture of compassion within the organization.
  • Develops and implements mission-supporting programs.
  • Provides training and education to staff on mission-related topics.

  • Enhances community health through preventive care initiatives by organizing health fairs and workshops for community education and collaborating with local organizations to support community health.

  • Conducts religious services for spiritual nourishment, facilitates support groups for emotional and spiritual well-being and organizes spiritual activities to foster a sense of community.
