Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, a Universal Health Services subsidiary in Shippensburg, PA, seeks a Director of Clinical Services to lead the SUD and acute psychiatric clinical programs. This senior role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and drives strategic planning and program development.

The successful candidate will oversee administrative processes, promote a therapeutic environment, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and state regulations while guiding clinical treatment

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college in chemical dependency, psychology, social work or related field with practicum in health or human service agency.
• Minimum five years in psychiatric/mental health field; three years in advanced clinical/management practice; two years of supervision.
• State licensure in mental health or social services.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, DHS, patient rights, and relevant laws and regs is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical programs on Substance Use Disorder and Acute Psychiatric units.
• Lead and strategize clinical services to meet community and facility performance goals.
• Manage administrative processes and development/implementation of clinical treatment programs.
• Ensure a therapeutic environment and program quality.

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for over 41 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as, an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Our mission is to provide high-quality behavioral health services in an environment that values service excellence, respect, and ethical standards, integrity, compassion, and teamwork.

Roxbury is currently hiring a Director of Clinical Services to oversee the clinical programs on our Substance Use Disorder unit and Acute Psychiatric units. This is a senior leader position reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

The Director of Clinical Services provides the leadership and strategic planning of the clinical services programs offered at the facility, ensuring programs meet the needs of the community and the facility’s performance goals and objectives. Responsibilities include the overall administrative processes and management systems for all clinical services offered at the facility, promotion and maintenance of a therapeutic environment, and development and implementation of a clinical treatment programs.

Qualifications

Director of Clinical Services Job Requirements:

• Education: Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work or other related field which includes a practicum in health or human service agency required , preferably in a drug and alcohol or mental health setting.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) tears experience in psychiatric/mental health field. Prefer candidates with a minimum of three (3) years experience in advanced clinical/management practice. Two years of supervisor experience required.
• License: Appropriate state licensure in mental health, or social services
• Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, DHS, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities is preferable
