Job summary

GPW & Associates is seeking a Director of Captive Business Development for the Southeast region. This remote role focuses on shaping strategy, forging client partnerships, and driving growth in the captive insurance space.

You will lead business development efforts, develop data-driven plans, and collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams. Travel is expected for industry events and key client meetings, with a strong emphasis on leadership and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in business development or sales within the Captive insurance industry.
• Deep understanding of Captive insurance structures, regulatory environments, and industry trends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and influence decisions.
• Experience delivering persuasive presentations and negotiating outcomes.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and related tools.
• Willingness to travel for industry events and client meetings.
• Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) certification is a plus; CPCU/ARM are beneficial.

We are seeking a Director of Captive Business Development to join our high-performing team. In this critical role, you will shape GPW’s business development strategy, forge impactful client partnerships, and drive measurable results in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

This position is remote but only within the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities, ensuring GPW stays ahead of market trends and client needs.
• Develop data-driven business plans that align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Provide actionable insights to the SVP of Business Development through regular sales performance and market trend updates.

Client Partnerships

• Cultivate and deepen relationships with prospective and existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor.
• Build and maintain connections with lead sources, expanding GPW’s market presence.
• Represent GPW at industry events and networking opportunities to enhance brand awareness and foster client engagement.
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client challenges and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and exceptional client experience.
• Partner with Marketing to design and implement effective lead generation campaigns.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of proven success in business development or sales within the Captive insurance industry.
• Deep understanding of Captive insurance structures, regulatory environments, and industry trends.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decisions.
• Expertise in delivering persuasive presentations and negotiating successful outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) certification. Additional certifications such as CPCU or ARM are a plus.
• Leadership experience in managing teams or cross-functional projects.
