Job Description:

• Oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs.
• Collaborates with program directors to create curricula that meet educational objectives and enhance the learning experience.
• Provides leadership and support to faculty and staff involved in educational programs.
• Facilitates effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving within the institution.
• Implements and monitors quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of educational programs.
• Utilizes data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Supports the professional development of faculty members through training, mentoring, and resources to enhance teaching and educational skills.
• Manages resources effectively to support educational programs, including budgeting, staffing, and technological support.
• Ensures students receive the necessary support and guidance to succeed in their educational programs.
• Addresses student concerns and facilitates a positive learning environment.
• Provides oversight for required documentation and reports to regulatory bodies and accrediting organizations.
• Ensures accurate and comprehensive records maintenance related to educational programs.
• Ensures educational programs remain in compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements and implement updates as needed.
• Assist with the faculty development curriculum.
• Serve as Vice Chair of the GME Committee, Chair of the Institutional Review Subcommittee, and designee for the Chief Academic Officer when absent.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Doctorate medical doctor (md), doctor of osteopathy (do), other doctorate-level (e.g., PhD, edd, jd) [Required]

Work Experience:

• Experience as a DIO, program director, or other significant GME administrative role [Required]
• Experience in undergraduate medical education administration [Required]
