Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is hiring a Dinner Cook. You will prepare and cook menu items, expedite orders, and mentor junior team members to standards.

Located within Grand Geneva Resort, this all-season property offers diverse dining spaces and scenic grounds. The role requires experience in fast-paced kitchens, stamina, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have previous line cook experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Dexterity to operate kitchen tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Able to stand long periods in a busy kitchen.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare station-specific items per recipes with consistency.
• Monitor storage, portions, stocks, sauces.
• Maintain cleanliness to Health Department standards.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized and operational.
• Uphold standards of food production and presentation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation.
• Manage station setup, breakdown and prep.
• Follow recipe specifications for all prep.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Tucked within historic Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge at the Grand Geneva Resort, is the only all-season, all-suite, destination of its kind in the Midwest. Featuring 50,000 square feet of year-round, indoor/outdoor waterpark excitement, Timber Ridge Lodge is a family bonding adventure that’s soaked in memories. Just 90 minutes from Chicago and 50 minutes from Milwaukee, this property is also home to two championship golf courses, WELL Spa and fitness center, Mountain Top Ski Park, award-winning restaurants, and 1300 acres of picturesque grounds.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
• Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
• Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a line cook in a fast paced, high pressure, and busy work environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
• Knowledge of proper knife handling, techniques, and cooking procedures and basic prep functions (i.e. cleaning greens, prepping vegetables).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
• Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
