Job summary

Senior LIFE is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant in Reading, PA to join our day-shift kitchen team. You will assist in meal preparation, serve meals, set tables, and help with dining room cleanup to ensure a safe, comfortable dining experience for members.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of healthcare facility experience. We offer Monday–Friday hours, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in meal preparation and service.
• Setting tables, setting up and serving trays, and pouring beverages.
• Assisting during meal times, as needed, and visiting members in dining areas.
• Cleaning up dining, dietary and day rooms before and after meal services.
• Ensuring safe, responsible use of food preparation and service equipment, plus storage after use.
• Sanitizing work spaces following meal preparation.
