Job summary

Whiting Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center seeks a Dining Services Aide to support meal preparation and delivery for residents in our skilled nursing facility. The role emphasizes high-quality service, proper sanitation, and responsive, resident-focused care.

You will assist in tray setup, food delivery, and cleanup, while following state and federal dietary requirements. Teamwork, confidentiality, and professional conduct are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to long-term care dietary requirements.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with residents, families, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Observes proper food handling techniques. Ensures proper setup of food for tray line and/or dining rooms.
• Delivers and retrieves food carts to and from client\'s area.
• Sets up trays for meals/works tray line position.
• Processes soiled trays, dishes and utensils from carts through dishwasher.
• Assists in the serving of food.
• Prepares snacks and beverages from between-meal service to patients.
• Prepares nutritional supplements and tube feeding products and delivers to customer areas.
• Washes pots, pans and other equipment as necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation through entire work areas.
• Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures; Scrubs and mops floors, cleans and sanitizes equipment.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Food Service Director
• Participates in all in-services and activities as required.

Whiting Gardens Rehab Center a skilled nursing facility located in Ocean County, is currently seeking resident-focused Dining Services Aides to join our culinary staff to provide timely service to meet our residents' needs. Our Dietary Aides perform a variety of food service functions in the preparation and delivery of meals to residents of our skilled nursing facility. We require our aides to provide the highest quality of service in an attentive and responsive atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the confidentiality of all protected health information whether electronic, written, or oral exposed to either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure.
• Participates in all in-service activities.

Qualifications
