Job summary

Southtowns Care Center is seeking resident-focused Dining Services Aides to join our culinary staff. Our team provides timely meal service to residents of a long-term skilled nursing facility, emphasizing high-quality service in a compassionate environment.

Duties include food preparation, tray setup, and dining room delivery. Responsibilities span food handling, cart delivery, sanitation, and assisting with meals and supplements while upholding confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a nursing care facility or other service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to long-term care dietary requirements.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Communicate effectively and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Handle food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Observe proper food handling techniques; ensure proper tray line and dining room setup.
• Deliver and retrieve food carts to and from client areas.
• Set up trays for meals and work tray line positions.
• Process soiled trays, dishes and utensils from carts through the dishwasher.
• Assist in the serving of food and prepare snacks and beverages for between-meal service to patients.
• Prepare nutritional supplements and tube feeding products and deliver to customer areas.
• Wash pots, pans and other equipment; maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout work areas.
• Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties per policies; scrub/mop floors and sanitize equipment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Food Service Director and participate in in-services.

Southtowns Care Center is currently seeking resident-focused Dining Services Aides to join our culinary staffto provide timely service to meet our residents' needs. Our Dietary Aides perform a variety of food service functions in the preparation and delivery of meals to residents of our long term skilled nursing facility. We require our aides to provide the highest quality of service in an attentive and responsive atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Observes proper food handling techniques. Ensures proper setup of food for tray line and/or dining rooms.
• Delivers and retrieves food carts to and from client’s area.
• Sets up trays for meals/works tray line position.
• Processes soiled trays, dishes and utensils from carts through dishwasher.
• Assists in the serving of food.
• Prepares snacks and beverages from between-meal service to patients.
• Prepares nutritional supplements and tube feeding products and delivers to customer areas.
• Washes pots, pans and other equipment as necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation through entire work areas.
• Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures; Scrubs and mops floors, cleans and sanitizes equipment.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Food Service Director
• Participates in all in-services and activities as required.
• Maintains the confidentiality of all protected health information whether electronic, written, or oral exposed to either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure.
• Participates in all in-service activities.

Qualifications:
