Job summary

Monarch Communities Senior Living is seeking dining servers for regular part-time schedules (less than 30 hours with at least 22.5 per week). The role involves taking orders, serving meals, and assisting residents to ensure a positive dining experience.

Candidates should have at least one year of fine dining hospitality or senior living experience and a high school diploma or GED. The position offers competitive hourly pay ($15.49–$16.00/hour) and benefits including PTO, medical and vision

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition.
• Learn and retain residents' names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure dining room is set up and supplies are available for service.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing dining room, menus, and serving stations.
• Prepare beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
• Assist residents with special dining requests.
• Ensure residents are accounted for during meals and document attendance.
• Participate in special events and in-service training.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and community policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Dining Servers provide excellent customer service and create a pleasant dining experience for Residents and guests, through taking meal orders, serving meals, and providing assistance. Various full and part time schedules available.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition
• Learn and retain residents' names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance
• Assist with special events
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
• Salary $15.49-$16.00/HR

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred/GED accepted
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience working with seniors

Physical Abilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
