Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Server for our community restaurant to deliver exceptional dining experiences to senior residents. You will provide friendly, professional service during meals and events while accommodating dietary needs and fostering a welcoming dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card and understanding of kitchen sanitation and codes a plus.
• 6–12 months serving/hospitality/customer service experience is a plus.
• Prior senior living/healthcare/hospitality experience highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; friendly, patient demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly to create a positive dining atmosphere.
• Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests.
• Serve meals with a smile to provide a pleasurable dining experience for all residents.
• Prepare the dining room before meals by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware.
• Clear tables promptly after meals and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Reset tables for the next meal service.
• Convey resident feedback to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and Cogir senior living standards.

POSITION SUMMARY

Requirements

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Education and certificates:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.


• A Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes is a plus.

Experience, Competencies, and Skills:

• At least 6-12 months of experience in a serving, hospitality, or customer service role is a plus.


• Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is highly desirable.


• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.


• Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
