Stellar Senior Living in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to lead the dining team at a large senior living community. You will oversee the flow of service from the kitchen to ensure residents receive their preferences in both food and beverages, while maintaining a clean and professional dining area.

Qualifications

• First aid and CPR certification required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Take resident meal orders and serve meals with exceptional service.
• Ensure dining room and kitchen are stocked and prepared to serve residents.
• Assist with setup and cleaning of kitchen and dining room before and after meals.
• Deliver trays to rooms for residents who request room service.
• May perform kitchen helper and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Assist in seating residents.
• Supervise servers to ensure safe, timely delivery of meals; communicate assignments to staff.
• Manage server schedules to meet labor budgets.
• Oversee dining room cleanliness and organization with attention to detail.
• Provide continued guidance to servers on appearance and work ethic.
• Read, write, and speak English sufficiently to fulfill job requirements.

Job Description

The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for the flow of service from the kitchen to ensure all residents receive their preferences in both food and beverages. Works with professionalism and knowledge of basic food offerings and menu content. Keep the restaurant properly cleaned and set up to meet residents’ expectations.

Responsibilities

• Takes resident(s) meal orders and serves meals collectively and efficiently using exceptional customer service techniques.
• Completes various tasks designed to ensure the dining room and kitchen areas are fully stocked and prepared to serve Residents.
• Assists with set up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room before and after each meal.
• Delivers trays to rooms of those residents who request room service.
• May perform all kitchen helper and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Assists in seating residents.
• Supervises servers to ensure safe and timely delivery of meals. Communicates assignments in a clear manner to staff.
• Manages the server schedule to budgeted labor hours and ensures shifts are covered.
• Oversees, delegates, and help to keep the dining room clean and organized with an attention to detail for cleanliness.
• Continued guidance to servers in maintaining a professional appearance and work ethic.
• Demonstrates ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements.

Qualifications

• 1st AID / CPR Card
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Ability to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, communicate effectively in English to receive food or drink orders and give responses.
• Must enjoy working with the elderly and able to accept constructive criticism.
• Proven ability to understand and demonstrate responsible behavior.
