Stellar Senior Living in San Antonio is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to lead the dining team at a large senior living community. You will hire and train servers, ensure shift coverage, manage service flow from kitchen to tables, and guarantee residents receive preferred food and beverages.

Responsibilities include seating guests, taking orders, maintaining clean dining areas, delivering room service, and coordinating with kitchen staff. English proficiency and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handlers Permit.
• Able to work in a team environment and handle various shifts.
• Effective English communication to receive orders and respond.

Responsibilities

• Hosts the front of the house and seats residents according to the floor plan.

• Delivers room service promptly.
• May perform kitchen helper and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Communicates assignments clearly for morning setup and nightly tasks.
• Reads, writes, and speaks English sufficient for job requirements.

Job Description

The Dining Room Supervisor is tasked with hiring and training of servers, ensuring adequate coverage for all scheduled shifts, the supervisor isresponsible for the flow of service from the kitchen, to food deliveries, and ToGos. Ensures all residents receive their preferences in both food and beverages. Must have a high regard for being professional, maintain a positive temperament,and knowledge of basic food offerings and menu content. Must keep the dining room properly cleaned per the health department standards.

Responsibilities

• Hosts the front of the house and seats residents according to the floor plan.
• Takes resident(s) meal orders and serves meals orders efficiently using exceptional customer service techniques.
• Completes various tasks designed to ensure the dining room and kitchen areas are fully stocked and prepared to serve Residents.
• Assists with set up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room before and after each meal.
• Delivers room service in a timely manner.
• May perform all kitchen helper and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Clearly communicates assignments, such as side work, cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and ensuring the morning set-up is done before the end of night shifts.
• Demonstrates ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements.

• Valid Food Handlers Permit
• Ability to work in a team environment, must work various shifts, communicate effectively in English to receive food or drink orders and give responses.
• Must enjoy working with the elderly and able to accept constructive criticism.
• Proven ability to understand and demonstrate responsible behavior.
