Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Everett, WA is seeking a Part-Time Dining Room Server to provide high-quality meal service and a gracious dining environment for our residents.

You will communicate order details to the kitchen, ensure meals are served hot or cold as required, and deliver friendly, attentive service. Training is provided as part of our culture of love and respect.

Qualifications

• Provide high-quality meals and gracious dining experience.
• Communicate clearly and relay orders to back-of-house staff.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitary conditions.
• Oversee bistro areas: presentation, cleanliness, stock, beverages, popcorn.
• Know the daily specials and how they are prepared.
• Learn resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Serve hot foods hot and cold foods cold.
• Attend trainings, orientation, and meetings.
• Demonstrate Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
• Experience in dietary dept or restaurant preferred but not required.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Meet regulations of ADA, state, infection control, health dept., OSHA.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide service of high-quality meals and facilitation of a gracious environment. This entails; accurate communication and order taking, properly relaying meal orders to back of the house staff. Offer exceptional customer service, as part of all interactions with our cherished residents.

POSITIONOVERVIEW

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times.
• Oversight of bistro areas as directed – food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc.
• Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Must serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• As directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
• Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.
• Demonstration of our Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
• Experience: Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred, but not required.
• Job Knowledge: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Standards: Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection and control, health department, and OSHA.
