Job summary

Avesta Housing is seeking enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our dining team as Waitstaff at 75 State Street in Portland, ME. This full-time position offers 32–40 hours per week with shift from 7:00am to 2:00pm and a starting pay range of $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include serving residents, maintaining a clean dining area, and collaborating with the Dining Service Manager. Benefits include health and dental plans, retirement savings, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Must meet facility and state immunization requirements.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team under the Dining Service Manager.
• Remain calm under pressure during busy or stressful times.
• Flexible schedule; able to work evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of working in a kitchen or dining atmosphere and handling food preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents in the dining room and support a positive dining experience.
• Work under the Dining Service Manager to ensure smooth meal service.
• Collaborate with staff and residents to maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
