Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Boulder is seeking a Dining Room Server for a full-time position. You will provide high-quality meal service, take and relay orders, and maintain a gracious environment for our residents.

Schedule includes Saturday 7am-7pm, Sunday 7am-7pm, Monday 4pm-7pm, Tuesday 4pm-7pm. Benefits include health, 401k, HSA, paid sick leave, vacation and birthday, career development, tuition reimbursement and a free shift meal.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Experience in dietary department or restaurant preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of ADA, state infection control, health dept and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality meal service in the dining room.
• Relay and communicate orders accurately to back of house staff.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary dining environment at all times.
• Know daily specials and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn resident names, dietary needs, and preferences.
• Serve hot food hot and cold food cold; adhere to service standards.
• Attend trainings, orientation and mandatory meetings.

POSITIONOVERVIEW

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times.
• Oversight of bistro areas as directed – food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc.
• Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Must serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• As directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
• Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.
• Demonstration of our Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
• Experience: Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred, but not required.
• Job Knowledge: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Standards: Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection and control, health department, and OSHA.
