Job summary

Sagora Senior Living in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Dining Room Manager for Adante Assisted Living. The role rewards organization, teamwork, and guest-first hospitality in a fast-paced setting, coordinating with the Culinary Director to deliver top‑notch dining experiences for residents.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, scheduling servers, ensuring timely service, cleanliness, safety, and smooth operations across dining rooms and catering activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Hospitality Management degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of progressive hospitality industry experience.
• Current Food Handler's permit is required.
• Ability to work all shifts and cover shift openings as needed.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train new culinary associates with the Culinary Director.
• Schedule servers and manage dining room staffing.
• Maintain service flow from kitchen to dining room to meet resident preferences.
• Keep dining room clean and service ready; perform monthly kitchen deep cleans.
• Supervise dining room staff and oversee catering as assigned.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per regulations and company policy.
• Oversee sanitation, safety, and personal hygiene standards.

What does a Dining Room Manager at Sagora do?

• Interview, select, and train new culinary associates in conjunction with the Culinary Director
• Schedule servers
• Maintain the flow of service from the kitchen to the dining room to ensure all residents receive their preferences in both food and beverages timely
• Always keep the dining room clean and service ready
• Deep clean kitchen on a monthly basis
• Management and supervision of all service associates assigned to dining room
• Execution of catering responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
• Assist with management of alcohol service in accordance with state and federal regulations and Sagora Senior Living policies
• Management of all sanitation and safety functions and responsibilities
• Maintain proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures for all food and beverage associates
• Assist with any records, reports, and paperwork as assigned
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with associates
• Learn all departmental systems and serve as a relief backup operator for these systems as needed

What do you need to be a Dining Room Manager?

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred (Hospitality Management desired)
• 3 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent educational and experience combination
• Must have a current Food Handler's permit
• Ability to work all shifts and cover for shift openings that occur
• Organization skills with ability to multi-task in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with
• residents, families, and other team members.
