Job summary

PCH Hotels And Resorts, Inc. is seeking a Dining Room Attendant to ensure a smooth dining experience in the hotel’s Restaurant outlets. You will carry dirty dishes, keep surfaces clean, and assist servers to ensure a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests.

The role emphasizes guest interaction, timely service, and teamwork in a hotel dining environment. The position is part-time and involves helping with menus, linen replenishment, and maintaining a clean dining area.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hospitality or dining setting preferred.
• Ability to carry dishes and maintain cleanliness.
• Excellent guest service and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Carry dirty dishes from the dining room to the dish line and break down trays and bus tubs.
• Wipe table tops and chairs with a damp cloth.
• Clear dirty dishes off tables and remove them promptly.
• Set up tray jacks and bus tubs and restock condiments.
• Assist servers by providing extra items during service.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors at the end of the shift.
• Attend daily menu classes to stay informed about new dishes and presentation.
• Report gratuities following company guidelines and federal laws.
• Be willing to assist in hosting or food running as needed.

Job description

As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Dining Room Attendant is to ensure a smooth dining experience in the hotel’s Restaurant outlets by carrying dirty dishes from the dining room and ensuring that table tops and chairs are clean. This role is essential for creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience for our guests by creating a positive first impression with a warm smile and addressing guests by name whenever possible. This role is also responsible for replenishing clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes and supporting Servers by supplying the service bar with items like soups, salads, and desserts, as well as serving iced water and butter to guests as they are first seated.

• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service to guests.
• Attend daily menu classes to stay informed about new dishes, ingredients, and presentation techniques.
• Set up tray jacks and bus tubs, ensuring they are ready for use.
• Carry dirty dishes from the dining room to the dish line and break down trays and bus tubs for efficient cleaning.
• Wipe table tops and chairs with a damp cloth, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Clear dirty dishes off tables, stack them neatly on trays and promptly remove them from the dining area.
• Ensure the dining room remains clean and tidy throughout the seating, attending to spills and maintaining a pleasant atmosphere.
• Assist servers by promptly providing any additional items they may need during service.
• Clean and maintain the tea/coffee area, ensuring cleanliness and availability of supplies.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop all floors at the end of the shift, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
• Complete all assigned side work duties, such as restocking condiments, folding napkins, or organizing menus.
• Be willing to assist in other positions, such as hosting or food running, as needed to support the smooth operation of the dining room.
• Report gratuities received following company guidelines and in compliance with federal laws.
