Job summary

Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a friendly Dining Room Attendant to join our team for Day and Evening shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a state-of-the-art facility that offers an excellent work environment and great benefits.

Responsibilities include washing dishes and dining room ware, maintaining sanitation, assisting in serving beverages, and helping keep dining areas clean and orderly to support resident care and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent related work experience.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes, tableware, glasses, and other kitchen and dining room equipment and assures they are stored in an orderly fashion.
• Assures work is performed in accordance with all federal, state, and facility regulations regarding sanitation and infection control.
• May be required to prepare and serve coffee, tea, juice etc.
• May be required to wash all pots, pans and cooking utensils used to prepare a meal.
• Assists in cleaning work areas, dining room floor, dining room tables, and dining room chairs after each meal and occasionally after special events, sweep and mop floor at the end of shift.
• May be responsible for between meal nourishments.
• May serve meals to residents in dining area. May assist with the pouring of the beverages at each meal.
• Assists in cleaning of kitchen equipment, food storage area, and supply areas per the facility schedule.
• Removes garbage from the kitchen and cleans trash containers.
• Performs duties swiftly and orderly to complete tasks within allocated time.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, and fire safety.
• Ensures residents' rights are respected.
• Follows safety procedures as stated in dietary service manual.
• Complies with schedule as established by Dietary Manager.
