Job summary

Main Event Entertainment is seeking a Dining Host in our California location. You will greet guests, seat them, and maintain communication with servers and managers to ensure a smooth dining experience. You will also help keep the dining area clean and safe.

Ideal candidates are guest-focused, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and flexible to work various shifts on days, evenings, and weekends. Training and teamwork are emphasized to support a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Food and beverage experience is a plus but not required.
• Guest-focused mindset is essential.
• Teamwork is required to deliver a great guest experience.
• Must have a Food Handlers Certification where required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, and communicate with servers and managers.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in dining areas.
• Perform table management and keep waitlist updated.
• Seat guests or hand them off to another host.
• Coordinate with servers and guests to ensure seamless service.
• Thank guests and welcome them back; perform opening/closing duties.

Job Description: At Main Event, Dining Hosts guide Guests through their dining experience and support the overall experience of our dining room and bar area. As a Dining Host, you will greet and seat guests and provide constant communication with servers, server assistants, and managers. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Welcome and greet all dining guests while gathering details about their visit (First impressions are everything!)
• Perform table management and keep the waitlist updated
• Seat the Guests or hand them off to another host
• Communicate with Servers and Guests, using table touches, to ensure a seamless experiaence.
• Thanking our Guests for coming and welcoming them back Performing opening, mid-day, or closing duties

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Prior food and beverage experience a plus but not required
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Food Handlers Certification, as required
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to workdays, nights and/or weekends
