Job summary

Christian Children's Home of Ohio is seeking a Dining Hall Assistant to help prepare and serve lunch and dinner for cottages and staff. You will assist in directing and supervising residents in a work program, fostering essential life skills like cooking and teamwork.

Key duties include managing food deliveries, inventory, and ensuring compliance with HACCP and state guidelines. The role requires attention to safety, cleanliness, and coordination within a fast-paced residential kitchen

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related experience strongly preferred.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License and insurable driving record may be required for occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lunch and dinner for cottages and staff according to daily schedule.
• Assist in coordinating and supervising residents in work programs to build life skills.
• Maintain inventory, receive deliveries, and distribute food and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and safety regulations.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary at all times.
• Assist with cross-training teammates and serve as back-up for Dining Hall staff.
