Job summary

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a Dining Assistant to help create a welcoming, high-quality dining experience for residents. You’ll take ownership of your work with integrity and contribute to a culture that values service and teamwork.

In this role, you will assist with meal preparation, support residents with dietary needs, and ensure safe handling, sanitation, and a clean, inviting dining environment. Weekend and holiday flexibility is often required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service or hospitality preferred (training provided).
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong customer service with a positive, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service following standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
• Support residents with special diets and dietary needs as directed.
• Maintain safe food handling, sanitation, and storage practices.
• Keep dining areas clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Provide friendly, attentive service to residents and respond promptly to requests.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary and care teams to ensure a positive dining experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to remain focused and dependable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
