ICF is seeking a skilled Digital Twin Lead for our work across government, commercial, and non-profit sectors to guide the technical strategy, development, and integration of digital twin solutions. This role combines technical leadership with hands‑on delivery, helping clients translate operational, planning, and asset‑management needs into practical solutions that connect BIM, GIS, asset information, and other enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will have real‑world experience using AutoCAD, BIM modeling software, GIS, coding, and technology applications to develop and integrate digital twin solutions. They will help establish technical direction, identify opportunities for innovation, and evaluate how artificial intelligence and other emerging techniques can improve future digital twin capabilities. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be detail‑oriented, analytical, and possess strong communication skills.

  • Lead technical delivery of digital twin solutions by coordinating the management and integration of BIM models, GIS, and asset data, establishing quality standards, and reviewing deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client requirements.
  • Define technical approaches for connecting digital models with enterprise GIS, databases, asset‑management systems, and operational data sources, addressing interoperability, scalability, and information maintenance.
  • Support, develop, update, and review AutoCAD drawings and BIM models using Revit, ensuring model geometry, asset attributes, and required levels of development and information are accurate and complete for their intended use.
  • Use coding, scripts, APIs, and automation to process models, transform and validate data, and connect BIM/CAD models with GIS, databases, asset information, and technology applications.
  • Evaluate and pilot innovative techniques, including AI and machine learning, to improve model development, data integration, quality review, and predictive analysis. Assess their accuracy, data requirements, security, cost, and practical value, and recommend where they should be incorporated into future digital twin development.
  • Translate client needs into digital twin technical requirements; guide technology selection and integration decisions; configure, test, and troubleshoot technology applications and resolve interoperability and data‑quality issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, coordinate assigned technical work, review deliverables, and document workflows, methods, quality criteria, and technical decisions. Contribute reusable methods and technical approaches to proposals and new digital twin opportunities.
  • Support internal and external training and capacity building efforts, including mentoring technical staff, demonstrating digital twin applications, and helping develop and deliver training materials. Explain technical options and tradeoffs to help clients make informed decisions.
