Summary

Serves as point person on product development teams, utilizing high-level perspective to define goals and create the digital strategy and vision for development projects.
Divides time between the team, ensuring they focus on the `what', and not the `how', and with stakeholders (e.g., leadership team, stakeholders across business areas, customers, etc.) to ensure broader organizational alignment and to gather feedback.

Represents the business or user community and work autonomously with user groups to determine features to be included in the product release.

Serves as primary liaison between the development team and customers, and collaborates with both groups to ensure clear understanding of what features are needed in the project or application and have a firm and wide breath understanding of the business domain and the varying needs of the different types of users.

• Bachelors' degree in business, information technology or analytics related field


• PLUS ten (10) years related business and/or consulting experience in business solution development and delivery.


• In lieu of degree, equivalent combination of education and directly related experience equaling fourteen (14) years is required.


• In-depth understanding and experience in business operations.

Major Accountabilities

• Serve as business strategist, across multiple business units, to identify new opportunities and define mission, scope and desired outcomes for teams, utilizing digital solutions to enhance the user experience.


• Maximizing the value of products/solutions by identifying key value drivers and define metrics and targets, and assist in the prioritization and sequencing of opportunities based on quantified value and desired strategic outcomes.


• Define product requirements and user stakeholders and ensure they are translated from end users and understood by developers.


• Assess completion of desired deliverables.


• Conduct research and competitive market benchmarking to identify potential solutions which can be leveraged in APS environment.


• Identify functional best practices and industry standards to be incorporated into products and solutions.


• Serve as Customer liaison by communicating to all stakeholders the requirements needed to be implemented/fixed during product development and release as well as final production release of product solution.


• Work independently to drive team towards progress and champion the necessary cultural change.


• Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to gather bi-directional feedback, remove roadblocks and implement change.


• Manage product/solution through the entire life cycle, from inception through production delivery.


• Ensure that all work related to the product is completed to end-user satisfaction.


• Drive decision making process by identifying stakeholder to engage with and framing the relevant decision options.


• Deliver training and revised processes and provides the necessary communication and change management processes all to ensure product success, adoptability and sustainability within the business

CIP Requirement:

This position requires Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) access consistent with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards. The applicant considered for this role will be required to obtain and maintain CIP access for the duration of employment in this position. A full seven (7) year criminal history will be obtained through the pre-employment background check process (or, for current employees, through supplemental background check process) to fulfill the CIP access requirements. In addition, this position requires an additional background check every seven years to maintain access.

Onsite: Requires work to be performed in the field and/or at an APS facility. Depending on the responsibilities of the role, this may include, but is not limited to, working at a power plant, job site, or in the community.
