Job summary

Applied Materials seeks a highly skilled Engineer to join our SBU application team for the Wafer Result Analytical (WRA) platform. You will leverage multidisciplinary expertise to maximize value and address customer HVPs.

You will lead cross-functional activities, ensure high-quality delivery on-site, and mentor colleagues while driving collaboration across product and support teams. This role offers a path for growth within a global leader in materials science.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSc or MSc in Engineering with 2–10 years of semiconductor industry experience.
• Experience with Metrology/Defect Review (ProVision/SEMVision) preferred.
• Data analytics skills and customer orientation are valued.
• Strong communication, intercultural collaboration and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leverage customer technologies to identify High Value Propositions (HVPs) and drive end-to-end solutions.
• Manage customer feedback to continuously improve WRA value and performance.
• Provide technical leadership for WRA application activities and guide the team.
• Lead and coordinate on-site activities (beta, SW upgrade, server install) to meet scope and timelines.
• Lead technical review meetings with customers to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
• Conduct training sessions for customers to maximize WRA benefits.
• Collaborate with Dev, Product Line, Local account and support teams to ensure adoption and support of WRA.
• Oversee small project management tasks to improve SBU effectiveness and timely delivery.

We are looking for a highly talented Engineer to join our unique SBU application team leveraging multidisciplinary expertise tomaximize our Wafer Result Analytical (WRA) platform value and address our customer’s HVPs.

What you’llberesponsible for

• Leverage a deep understanding of customer technologies and identify customer HVPs, working with internal and external customers, suggesting potential solutions and accompanying till implementation - end to end responsibility.
• Manage customer feedback to continuously improve WRA value and performance.
• Provide technical leadership for complex and challenging WRA application related activities, guiding the team effectively.
• Lead and coordinate execution teams during on-sites activities (beta, SW upgrade, server install) ensuring high involvement in the scope of work (SOW) to meet the timeline.
• Lead technical review meetings with customers to ensure alignment and address any issues.
• Conduct training sessions for customers to ensure they are proficient in using the WRA and can maximize its benefits.
• Collaborate with multiple teams (Dev team, Product Line Manager, Local account, local support, Product line) to ensure successful adoption and support for WRA.
• Oversee small project management activities to enhance SBU group effectiveness including planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions.

What should you have:

• BSc. / MSc. in Engineering
• 2~10 years of experience in related fields (Semiconductor Industry)
• Metrology/ Defect Review (ProVision/SEMVision) experience - Preferred.
• Data Analytics skill - Preferred.
• Customer orientation, intercultural skills.
• Self-confidence, presentation skills, communication skills.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
